Celebrate quilt

For Mother's Day 2010 my daughters gave me the class and some of the material to make this quilt.  There are 104 snowballs in this quilt.  I finished almost half of the snowballs by the end of the school year.  I took this project with me to Nebraska to work on while I visited my daughter and her family.  Tadaah, I finished it.  It turned out to be more of a challenge than I expected.

New Clothes

I have a sweet, little girl in my second grade class room who is middle eastern and as cute as a button.  She wears some very nice outfits to school: red pants outfit for Valentine's day, a lovely grey and pink plaid skirt with matching pink sweater,  princess style coat with fuzzy collar and cuffs, matching knitted or crotched hat, scarf and gloves.  One day I asked her where she found all her pretty clothes.  It took her a little time to think then she informed me it was the Goodwill Store.  I'm thinking I need to check out Goodwill for some nice, modest clothes.

Thoughts on Aging

Although my mind is still young, my body is aging. I’m getting wrinkles and flabby skin. My hips are broadening and my waist is disappearing. Mentally I think I can do anything, but physically my body objects. I want to burn up those calories, but my body wants to stay in bed. Although I try hard to deny it, I’m becoming a senior citizen.
